Having those separate files, I can simply pull them up and go โ€˜how much decorating did we do between July and August 2018โ€™? and I can [compare this], to July and August 2021.

From there, I can see details like: โ€˜That portion of the business is doing really well, letโ€™s get another painter on our booksโ€™.

Or I can look at something and ask questions like:

  • Why has work declined?
  • Can we push it forward?
  • Can we generate more social media?
  • Can we gather more customers to increase the workload?โ€™

Separating those out is very, very, important and it gives you information at a glance.

Communication for any business is really important.

For a customer journey, itโ€™s massive. In the trades business, unfortunately, thereโ€™s this stigma of โ€˜the plumber didnโ€™t call me backโ€™, or โ€˜the electrician didnโ€™t turn upโ€™, so people have their backs up sometimes.

He continues,

[With] Commusoft, we can look at the customerโ€™s file, see how many properties heโ€™s got, and what level of Homecare plan theyโ€™re on, and when the service is due.

So weโ€™re not being held back from providing a great service eitherโ€ฆ weโ€™re happy because if we get in early, carry out the service early, we can pick up problems early, and that can save us a whole host of money.

So itโ€™s a really good benefit for us.
