As Brady Rockwell explains:

It was a lot of cross-referencing and redundancy.

Under this manual setup, scheduling had become a major bottleneck; the team often had to reference multiple documents before a single job could be placed on the calendar.

Brady also highlighted how their former system made it difficult to assess real-time job statuses across the business.

It normally involved a meeting once a week where we would manually go back through everything going on – and that was our pipeline.
